How do I become a customer?

If you operate or manage a retail garden center or re-wholesaler, we would like the opportunity to become your plant supplier.

To become a Flowerwood customer, you may contact our office at 1-800-858-3521 or complete our online application. Horticultural licensure and a Tax ID may be required.

We will review your application and contact you to let you know if your application for a commercial account has been approved. All new accounts are created with pay upon delivery via ACH. You may request credit terms by filling out our credit application. Completed forms may be faxed to 251-964-6594 or emailed tocredit@flowerwood.com

Are there any tips for placing an order?

  • Place orders on current availability
  • Fill out required information verifying ship to address
  • Order items in full or half shelf quantities 
  • If we preprice your shrubs please include your pricing with the order
  • Include items you'd be willing to increase qty for empty shelves. Freight is charged per rack.
  • Turn in your finalized, completed order via fax or email to appropiate sales rep.  
  • If you need additional items, please start a new order.  We start order process once an order is turned in.

How do I place an order?

Can I add or adjust my order once it has been placed?

There are many fast-moving parts to execute orders. As a result, changes to an order cannot be made once a confirmation has been sent to you. If you need additional items, please start a new order.

Do you provide point of purchase merchandise?

Flowerwood Nursery is a flagship grower of Encore Azalea and the Southern Living Plant Collection, brands that consumers demand, backed by powerful marketing. As part of our partnership, we share with our customers complimentary signage and merchandising materials.

Select from, mostly complimentary, store-within-a-store sign packages, informative plant markers and instantly recognizable plant packaging;all backed by brands consumers love and trust. Ask your sales rep for more information.

Do all your plants come with picture tags?

All of our branded plant material will come with a picture tag. Please let us know if you prefer your commodity plant material with picture tags or without.

Can you print my retail price on your tags?

Yes, we can print your retail and better yet, there is no charge for this service! We put a sticker with the retail price you provide on our pots or tags. Please provide your retail price at time of order. Please contact your Sales Representative for details.

Can my customers recycle their Flowerwood pots?

Our recyclable pots are made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and polypropylene (PP) which are designated #2 HDPE or #5 PP.  Most recycling facilities accept these plant pots.  Some recycle centers do not accept plant containers that are too dirty.

To find out if our pots are accepted in your local area, contact your community’s solid waste department.

Can we repurpose empty Flowerwood pots to grow plant material?

This is fine for use with our black pots. However, branded pots cannot be reused to grow any plant material used for commercial sales.

Can I repot your branded or patented plant material into larger sizes?

The repotting of our branded or patented plants into larger containers is strictly prohibited unless you are a licensed grower.

Do you warranty or guarantee your plants to survive?

We guarantee to deliver healthy plants to your location or job site. Once you have accepted the plants it is your responsibility to ensure their survival. We guarantee that all plants sold are true to description or variety name. It is mutually agreed that our liability for any error as to description or variety name is limited to the amount of the purchase price. We give no warranty, express or implied, as to the longevity of or the productiveness of any plants that we sell and do not warrant and are not responsible for results obtained in transplanting. Any unsatisfactory plants must be reported immediately and held for advice from us to their disposition. All claims must be made in writing within 48 of receipt of the plants. In no case are we liable for any sum greater that the amount of the purchase price for the plants.

How do I find out if my company is eligible for a discount?

Flowerwood offers "volume discounts” for our customers. Please take a look at our discount schedule.

What are the payment terms?

Payment terms are C.O.D., which requires you to fill out a COD application, unless credit has been extended from Flowerwood’s Credit Department. Established firms may apply for credit through our Credit department. Terms for all established credit accounts are 30 days from invoice date. All delinquent accounts are charged interest at a rate of 18% per annum (1.5% per month). Interest accrues until invoice is paid in full. Buyer agrees to pay reasonable attorney fees and other cost incurred in the collection of past due accounts. No orders will be shipped to overdue accounts. Credit Cards are accepted.

Can we arrange to pick up orders at your locations?

Yes, we require 48 hours’ notice for a customer pick up. Please contact your Sales Representative to schedule an appointment and to discuss minimums. No orders will be scheduled for pickup on Saturday, Sunday, or holidays.

How do empty racks get picked up?

The racks are a costly investment so we ask that we partner together to keep these racks in use for deliveries. To arrange to have racks picked up, please complete our rack pickup form.

If I ordered from two different locations will they be delivered together on the same truck?

No, each location ships independently.

How quickly can I expect delivery of my material?

There are many factors that affect shipment schedules. We will call with your order drop information when your order is close to departure. Please contact your Sales Representative for more information. 

Will you deliver to residential areas?

There must be clearance for semi-trucks. Please verify that the requested delivery site can accommodate and have prior approval for the tractor trailer. Otherwise, other arrangements must be made prior to placing an order.

 

What type of delivery trucks will my order come on?

We deliver on semi-trucks. Often the trucks will have liftgates to assist with unloading. However, on occasion racks will have to be removed with a forklift. Please let your sales representative know in advance if you do not have a forklift.

Do you lean stack or rack your plants?

We typically ship on racks, but we can stack as well.

Does Flowerwood sell to the public?

No, we are wholesale to the trade only.

Where are Flowerwood growing facilities?

We have Flowerwood Nursery locations in Loxley and Mobile, Alabama along with Cairo, Georgia.  You can order directly from these nurseries.  We have two other locations dedicated to growing plants that are sold through our direct sales facilities.

Can I combine items from Flowerwood's different facilities to meet the order minimum?

No, each location has a minimum of $2,500.00.

What is Flowerwood's minimum order?

Each order must have a minimum of $2,500.00/location.
