Outside Sales Representative
Department: Sales
Reports to: VP, Sales & Marketing

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated experienced sales representative in the Arkansas area to join our outside sales team.
Position Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of plants offered by Flowerwood Nursery including the Southern Living Plant Collection and Encore Azaleas.
- Previous customer/sales experience is preferred.
- Ability to drive to customer locations.
- Previous nursery and/or garden retail experience a plus.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communications skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel.
Position Responsibilities
- Service stores in defined area of coverage, making weekly in-person visits.
- Review pre-written orders and provide feedback before the communicated deadline.
- Work with merchandising groups in the stores to help promote Flowerwood Nursery.
- Assist with resolving issues at the store level including inventory issues, shipping, plant quality, etc.
- Submit feedback from the field weekly due on Mondays.
- Submit a call sheet of customers visited due on Mondays before 7AM CST.
- Attend trade shows when requested and support brand education if requested.
- Build relationships with plant buyers at independent garden centers and re-wholesale companies.
- Build relationship with inside sales teams at locations to optimize coverage.
- Communicate with Sales Manager on a regular basis concerning goals and initiatives in the retail and re-wholesale within defined area.
- Assist with other tasks related to the nursery.

IPM Manager

Location: Mobile, AL
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated experienced IPM Manager to join our team in Mobile, AL. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive pest management program that prioritizes environmentally friendly and sustainable approaches at an economical cost.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and 5-10 years’ experience preferred.
- 2 – 3 years’ experience managing or supervising employees.
- Commercial Pesticide license is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of plant physiology, entomology, and pathology.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and coaching skills; responsive and persuasive at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent organizational/time management skills, prioritization, and multi-tasking abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel. Familiar with Teams.
- Bilingual in Spanish/English is preferred.

- Develop and implement IPM plans and strategies that align with best management practices and comply with regulations.
- Conduct thorough nursery assessments of pest related risks and develop the appropriate response to mitigate these risks effectively.
- Monitor and continuously evaluate pest control programs to assess their effectiveness and make necessary adjustments to optimize outcomes.
- Train and educate staff on pest identification, prevention, and control methods promoting a culture of proactive pest management.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of spray schedules, treatment plans, and compliance reports.
- Coordinate with management team of daily chemical applications to ensure compatibility of operations and control measures.
- Analyze seasonal data, research, and report revisions to IPM plans to improve crop quality.
- Ensure IPM and related personnel receive annual & biannual health tests.
- Ensure WPS compliance.
- Maintain an up-to-date SDS database.
- Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, and maintaining strong employee relationships.
- Stay updated with new innovations in the industry related to IPM.

Inventory & Receiving Manager

Position Overview
This position is responsible for maximizing the efficiency of the receiving process while ensuring accuracy, quality, and timeliness of entering product into inventory. As well as, ensuring inventory updates occur promptly with accuracy. Coordination and collaboration with various teams is essential for a smooth and efficient process.

- Coordinate accurate and timely cycle counts.
- Verify and enter all transactions received from the production team (moves, scraps, fertilize, trim, etc.) into the inventory system.
- Ensure T-stakes are in place for all crops in the field.
- Manage work performance of Inventory Assistant and Crew Leader, providing encouragement and corrective feedback when needed.
- Monitor ready dates and inform the general manager of opportunity or shortages.
- Monitor inbound plants and cross docking material daily to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Ensure all status codes are updated in the inventory system regularly.
- Coordinate the placement of inbound product on clean areas.
- Ensure the quality of product received is to standards.
- Update and enter all information of inbound product into company programs.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
