More About EdwardEdward started his Flowerwood career in 2007. He graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in horticulture. During his time there he researched sweet potatoes for a variety released by the Mississippi Agricultural Extension Service named Vardaman. He previously worked with retail garden centers in Mississippi and Texas. In his spare time, he enjoys gardening, horseback riding, tennis and watching college sports. He is involved with Samaritan’s Purse Christian healthcare ministry, Boys Town Youth Healthcare Outreach, and served on summer mission trip to Honduras. Edward’s favorite plant is Eucalyptus because of the beautiful foliage and fragrance. The eucalyptus plant in his backyard is over 30 feet. Its’ foliage has been used in several weddings! Other plants that are high on his list are rosemary, buddleia, gardenia and lantana. Edward has been married to his wife for over thirty-five years, has 3 children, and 2 brown tabby cats.
