This position is responsible for overseeing all sales functions related to independent garden centers, landscapers, re-wholesalers and new customer acquisitions across these channels. This position leads a team of outsides sales representatives as well as an inside sales team to drive revenue growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and expand market share.

Job Summary: This position focuses on providing customers with plants and information with in-store visits to increase their turns and profitability as well as providing nursery operations with information to meet the consumer demand. This position would ideally be based in Chattanooga, TN, to service eastern TN, western SC, western NC, and north GA.
Travel to stores on a regular basis, minimal weekly time in home office.

Position Summary
This position is responsible for overseeing the sales functions in certain regions of the Lowe’s chain account, ensuring strategic alignment with Lowe’s goals, strengthening vendor partner relationships, and supporting supply chain efficiency from grower production through store level execution. This position is the primary liaison between Lowe’s merchant teams, live goods field teams and outside sales representatives as well as an inside customer service team to drive revenue growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and expand market share.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for certain Lowe’s live goods merchants and regional teams.
• Work with Sales Manager to develop and execute annual sales plans, aligning with Lowe’s category strategy and company production capacity.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with Lowe’s merchants and vendor partners.
• Identify growth opportunities in product assortment, seasonal programs, and regional exclusives.
• Assist in managing sales forecasts, pricing strategies, promotional programs, and margin goals.
• Monitor weekly, monthly, and annual sales performance and provide insights to Lowe’s and internal team.
• Analyze point of sale and inventory data to optimize replenishment, reduce shrink, and increase sell-through.
• Oversee compliance with Lowe’s vendor requirements, including packaging, labeling, and EDI.
• Partner with Lowe’s merchants to develop in-store live goods planograms.
• Conduct competitive market analysis to inform merchants of product innovation and pricing strategies.
• Work closely with internal operations and customer service teams to align production schedules with Lowe’s demands.
• Lead and manage the outside (territorial) sales team responsible for servicing the Lowe’s chain account and the inside sales/customer service team, ensuring high levels of responsiveness, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
• Develop and execute strategies to grow sales with existing Lowe’s stores and open new accounts across other regional areas.
• Monitor sales pipelines and performance through CRM and ERP systems; prepare reports and forecasts for senior leadership.

Qualifications

Education and Experience
• 5+ years of experience in B2B horticultural or nursery sales in a wholesale or agricultural setting is preferred.
• Prior experience leading both inside and outside sales personnel is preferred.
Competencies
• Proven success in team leadership, new business development, and account management.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite; ERP knowledge a plus.
• Willingness to travel to support Lowe’s merchants, outside reps and visit store locations.
Physical Demands
• Operate typical office equipment such as a computer, telephone, copy machine, etc.
• Regular mental demands such as comprehension, reasoning, and strong math skills.
• Occasionally lifts/pulls/carries up to 25 pounds.
• On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, kneel, or reach above the shoulders.
