This upright variety is consistently rated high for its fruit flavor and quality. Characterized by small- to medium-sized red-orange colored fruit, with very sweet orange flesh, this tree bears heavily. Harvest in the early midseason and enjoy eating fresh, dried, or in desserts. A pollenizer (Flavor Grenade Pluot® or Santa Rosa plum) is required, as is 400 or fewer chill hours.
Water before planting.
Dig hold 2X the width of pot.
Plant 1-2” above ground soil level, backfill hole with soil.
Water and add more soil if needed.
Mulch 1-2” deep around plant, avoiding area closest to stem.
