A vigorous, tender perennial grown for its velvety burgundy-red flower spikes and lush green foliage, Saucy Wine blooms continuously from April to November. Sterile and self-cleaning, there is no need to deadhead. Attracts pollinators but not deer.
Water before planting.
Dig hold 2X the width of pot.
Plant 1-2” above ground soil level, backfill hole with soil.
Water and add more soil if needed.
Mulch 1-2” deep around plant, avoiding area closest to stem.
